Police rushed to Isiah Thomas’ upstate New York home early Friday morning, a spokesman from the Harrison Police Department confirmed to Usmagazine.com.
“An ambulance was called to his residence around midnight, and a party was transported to White Plains Hospital,” the police spokesman told Us. “It was a party from his residence. It was ruled an overdose.”
The police would not confirm to Us if the overdose involved drugs or alcohol, or if it was a suicide attempt.
Police sources told CBS’ New York City affiliate that Thomas overdosed on sleeping pills.
Thomas was fired as the New York Knicks’ head coach on April 18.
A spokesperson for the team told CBS that Thomas is fine.
